Using Illustrator

Well hi there!
I finally went and bought the Adobe CS6 software, and this here is my first on my own copy of Illustrator! I've used the program before, but not extensively. To keep this one simple I just traced a photo of myself. So it's no feat of artistic talent really, but it did turn out cute! I love the simple flat colors Illustrator gives you, but it really is a misnomer of a program. It's not intended for drawing or painting, but tracing with a pen tool and making logos and stuff.
I borrowed this pretty skirt from Marisa. It's a real fun pattern, isn't it?
I wore white socks to really show off these cutie heels Travis got me for our anniversary/Valentine's day earlier this month! He picked them out of my Modcloth wishlist, haha.
I got off early for the weekend, but I'm in a pretty crappy mood.
dress, shoes: mocloth
skirt: Marisa
coat: wetseal
floral crown: DIY

  1. I love your first illustrator photo it turned out great! Marisa's skirt matches your dress so well, and as for the flower crown, I have almost the exact same one! I found the flowers in the thrift store and they were already in a long vine so I just had to cut it and attach the ends!
Happy Friday hope your mood improves soon!

  9. Okay, I'm on cuteness overload with this post. First, the skirt just looks perfect with this dress (which is one of my favorite pieces of yours). Second, I'm kind of obsessed with every piece of artwork you put up. Have fun using Illustrator!
