Typical Tuesday

I admit this is probably not the most high-tech outfit post I've made. I hung my camera up from the bunk bed and set the self timer, so here we are with my mini fridge as a background.
I was really pleased with this outfit, though!

I wore this skirt like two posts ago. I'll try not to do that again.
 All thrifted.

Library Chic?

Travis and I went to the library. To, yknow, read.
We're actually in the parenting section, since that's what my psychology paper is on. We then made use of that oh so gorgeous fluorescent lighting!

Later that day, a lady in Walmart asked me where I got my shorts. I told her American Eagle, and she asked where that was! Maybe I spend too much time shopping, but I thought everyone in this country knew what American Eagle was.

Weekend Weather

This weekend the weather was beautiful! In a stormy, raining while it's sunny sort of way. We had a pizza picnic in the park before it got wet.

Right before the storm hit, the sky was this eerie combination of the gold evening light from behind, and the dark stormy clouds ahead. We were even treated to a double rainbow that I failed to take a good picture of!

I got some heels and they were much too small for me.
But too cute to take off!

Barn Red

My Mom is a budding photographer, and wanted to take pictures down by the covered bridge. So I took my brand-new-thrifted 70s clogs down to the river!
This whole outfit is thrifted. I was delighted with how much I found on the bargain rack this haul, and particularly with this shirt!

What I Wore

I almost forgot about these!
This is the last of the 27 outfits I documented for a school project, and they're some of my favorites.
I'm still experimenting with different ways of outfit-documentation, so don't worry. You'll see ALL my clothes.

Learning the Ropes

I'm taking an acrylic class this semester on the costumed figure.
Here are my first forays into the world of opaque paint!

It was honestly a little too windy to wear this hat, which is slightly to big for my little head. I'm going to attach a ribbon to it or something.
When I was little I used to be a pro at finding four leaf (and five and six) leaf clovers. I've got about a hundred pressed in a book somewhere on the shelf! Didn't find any today, though, maybe my eyes are going in my old age.

Woah I've been making some patterns! And I'm going to make more!
These guys are tileable and you're free to use them as long as you credit me and let me know.

Sketchbook Sketches

A few things from my sketchbook as of recently.

Might make this a monthly thing!

I've been struggling with my sketchbook a lot recently. Like nothing I draw turns out the way I want it to. I don't think not trying is an option, though, so I'm certain to get out of my rut eventually!
These are a few that I did like.
