Pink Hair and Disrespect

Hey guys!
I'm so excited to show you my new pink hair! As with most of my hair adventures, it didn't really turn out as planned, but I really love it! It was a little shocking to me at first because, like woah my hair has never been so light! The roots especially. But I really do love the peachy color. I don't know how hard it will be to maintain, but I plan on keeping it this way for at least a couple months!

I unfortunately had to deal with some art theft yesterday! Hannah left me a comment mentioning that Oasap was selling a sweater with my cats print on it... and I definitely had not given them permission. I emailed them, left a negative review, and then blasted them on facebook and twitter... and by the time I was done with that they had taken it down (not that they sent me an apology or a reply or anything, no siree). It really sucks because that site is crawling with art theft, and I know they are big in partnering with bloggers. So here's my plea to you, fellow bloggers: Don't support Oasap anymore! They have a history of stealing from artists, and they need to know that it's NOT okay.

My friend Laura also found the same sweater for sale on someone's storeenvy account. I emailed storeenvy, and I hope it gets taken down soon as well.

It really has been great, though, all the support my friends and family have given through this ordeal! Everyone really rallied around me and it's so nice to know that people are looking out for me and my art. So thankyou everyone!

Also, on the bright side, if anyone notices my art popping up at the French site, Rad.co, I'm officially partnered up with them! Signed a contract and errthing. If you're a French reader, you can buy things with my art on them!

We kindof had to rush around to get these pictures done. I was like "Shit I haven't taken outfit photos in over a week, I've got to get some done!" And by the time I was done helping my sister study and dealing with the drama of the day, the light was fading fast. (Yeah maybe I woke up at like 1, what of it??)

  1. That's awful that they used your art! I'd heard stories of them doing it, but it's so bad! And not even an apology?! I have a couple of things from them, but they're really bad quality so I decided to stop partnering with them, so I'm glad I did.
And your hair looks gorgeous by the way, such a dreamy colour!

  3. You look awesome - I love that blouse, and I'm obsessed with your hair. Yesterday was an AWFUL day for art stealing... not only with your stuff with OASAP (which is AWFUL), but Midge from Modern Girl Blitz had her stuff stolen by a Storenvy seller as well. I'm glad you guys both took action, even if there was no apology issued. I don't want to buy from OASAP anymore -- I've seen them rip off big designers before and that's bad enough, but it really makes my blood boil when they go after the smaller, independent artists who work so hard!

  4. That is so awful, I'm pretty sure I found your blog through that cat print, it's so horrible to hear someone stole it. I've never bought from Oasap anyway but I definitely won't now. Your hair looks gorgeous, if that is any consolation xo

  5. Ugh, OASAP is the worst. I side-eye so hard when bloggers work with them when they just continuously get caught stealing from artists regularly. The quality of their clothes is awful and they only offer the tiniest sizes ever. They just suck. I'm sorry that happened to you. :/ Unfortunately it's pretty inevitable for artists in the internet age, though.

Your peachy hair looks great, though! The cute bob you've got goin' on is adorable, too! <3

  6. Wow, that's fucking awful. I hadn't heard that OASAP did that, but I'm glad I know now to stay 100% clear of them.

On the bright side, you look really cute! I like the new hair, and the patterned tights with the neutrals.

  7. I glad to hear an update on that! If you hadn't said anything about it, I was going to ask! I'll be sure to always take my business else-where.

  8. I saw this on Facebook and I could not believe it! I'm so glad they took it down, but I definitely don't want to support a website like that. Hopefully you only have positive experiences with companies using your artwork from now on! On the bright side, you look great. I can't get enough of this collared top!

  9. Yeeeeesh! That's bizarre! What a dodgy company, in so many ways. I'm so happy that I don't support them anymore - while I actually thought the clothes they sent me were alright (I mean, for freebies) they were always really rude towards me as well.

    p.s. I love this outfit A LOT

  10. Wow. They should compensation you and apologize! :\ I'm definitely not going to buy anything from Oasap and won't accept any partnership at all! This is just so wrong.

CONGRATS with the contract & partnership with Rad.co!!
