This is a short skirt, but I like the way short skirts make me feel.
This semester I have an 8am every Tuesday and Thursday, and I am not a morning person. I know you're like "Shut up, Rachel, every one else in the world gets up that early, just deal," to which I would say, "But I don't waaannnnnnaaa!" But if there's one thing that makes me feel slightly more inclined to not crawl back under the covers until a more reasonable hour (did I hear somone say noon?) it's having a pretty outfit picked out to slip into. A girl in my class told me I looked like a princess in this get up, and I was like, that is basically my dream.
It was pretty chilly this day, but I was layered up nicely. My face is all chapped from walking around campus in the wind, and I am an oily girl. So this is weird for me.I also trimmed my bangs, did you notice? I have a frickin' cowlick that always ruins them for me, any tips on dealing with that?

I really like the way you've layered up! I've been ogling that dress for awhile now :-) It looks great on you!

Ugh, we can be besties! I HATE getting up in the morning. Seriously. Noon sounds perfect to me. The closer to noon the better! But lately I've been working at 8:30 which means I'm forced to get out of bed at 7:30 which is disgusting.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love this pretty dress and the way you layered it is just genius! Seriously, you always find the most creative, pretty ways to layer. I'm totally inspired.

absolutely LOVE this dress, I saw it on Romwe but it was sold out (if you ever put it on FT, pick me, pick me!)! The last picture is adorable! Even though I am usually in the office by 9, I sure do not miss 8am morning classes, especially in the winter!

You are too cute. I'm glad short skirts make you feel good!
ReplyDeleteI love the layering going here! That lace shirt under the vest is such an awesome touch. You really do look like a princess! And ugh, I'm a morning person, but even I can agree that 8 am classes are death.
ReplyDeletei have a cowlick too and the solution to it was making it thick on the front hairline, next time you go to a salon or barber tell them you have a cowlick in front of your hair and you want to have bangs,if they dont understand what you mean just tell them not to cut it on the cowlick area, some barber or stylist dont know it. because the thicker your bangs the better to beat cowlick.
