Blogger Appreciation

I recently did some portraits of a few of my favorite bloggers that I've been following for awhile <3 You guys will probably recognize them, but if you don't, you need to be following them!

Annika of Pineneedle Collective is one of my faves because she has such a cool sense of style that is always interesting to watch, and because she ties all her interests into her blog so you get to read about science, fashion, diys, all in the same place. Plus she's super friendly and creative, and promotes ethical fashion and disability awareness and is an all around role model tbh.

I love Kathryn of Kitsune Kun's blog because she has insane photography skills. Like every time I visit there, she's got some magical photos of Utah or Japan or the Met or something. They're all impeccably styled, but not in the staged photoshoot way, it's just beautiful to see her life and travels through her eyes!

And Kailey of Mermaidens, because she is the cutest. She's def one of the nicest people on the internet, and her blog is always a cotton candy wonderland with just the right amount of edge. I love seeing her modelling for people like Hannah Haley. It's no wonder I'm not the first to paint her, her look is just flawless.

Black Something

I wore this on Black Friday, and was going to post about Black Friday things like how I've got a coupon code for 25% off everything in my shop if you want to buy anything... It's HOLIDAYZ and you can enter it at checkout.

But then I left my computer charger at home, so it became a Black Sunday post, and then I forgot to renew my prescription and have been getting progressively dizzier all week because SSRIs are evidently shit to withdraw from, and now I'm at the point where I don't even know. My pills are in the mail, though.

Dream Shoes

You know, it's nice, I really love my entire closet right now. I have been buying a ton of stuff with my discount at work (women's resale if you've forgotten) and I'm running out of closet space. So I was looking through all my clothes to try and pare down, but I was just like "I love you and you and youuuu," so that's kind of a good feeling! 

But the real treasure in my wardrobe right now is this pair of shoes. I had a shortlist of fall fashion wants, and topping it was a pair of chunky black boots. I have major heart eyes. If you guys know where to find a long-sleeved Wednesday Addams dress in the $50 range (or under lol), let me know and complete my life.

I've also been more into dark colors lately. I know you're like "duh Rach it's fall," but I've never been much for black even in winters past. Now I just wanna dress like a teen witch. 

I really have been trying to get my shit together. I bought some shrinky plastic to make brooches and I'm looking into stickers that are glossy not matte... and I've got some zines in my shop now, too! Including that Real Love one that I got all the anonymous love stories for. I really enjoyed making it, so ya'll should check it out!

Miss the Sun

I haven't blogged in two weeks, what is up with that?!

I took these in a Target parking lot. My work does bonuses with store gift cards, which is really nice, and enables my shopping habit. I'm actually running out of closet space at this point. Now the days are shorter, and I miss the sun.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! This year I'm a space alien, mostly because I wanted to wear glitter makeup. I told Travis that if he didn't pick a costume, he'd have to be a cat... so, he's a business cat.

It wasn't actually my cheapest costume ever haha. I went to Goodwill and grabbed all the shiny stuff I saw. I made my peplum from a holographic car shade that I took apart, pleated, and sewed to a ribbon. Other than that I basically glued pom poms everywhere and had fun with my makeup! Definitely wish I still had my pink hair for this costume.

High Low

I've been so slack. I miss posting with any semblance of regularity, but. It is what it is. Now that I rarely have time to photograph my outfits, I feel really pressured to pick out a good one on the days that I have camera time. It makes blogging stressful, and I'm not here for that.

-I went home last weekend and that was nice.

Star Girl

I read this book in middle school called Stargirl. About a mysterious girl who was just really special and changed the main character's life. It was kindof a manic pixie dream girl situation now that I think back on it, but I really enjoyed it at the time. Then again, I basically wanted to be a manic pixie dream girl for most of my teenage years. One of the many things that has changed since then is that I define myself much less based on how boys see me nowadays. But I'm still wearing the sneakers I wore to junior prom!

I hope to get my life together and start posting more soon. It will help immensely when Travis has a job and I'm no longer paying all the rent by myself.
