Late

I think I'm going to try and make these posts a weekly thing, since I wound up with a ton of photos to post this time! I tried to put them in chronological order but idk idk.

First day I wore my pins to work! No one there gives a shit about my outfits, though. (dats why I have you guys)

A breakfast! It's special because I often forgo the most important meal of the day in favor of an extra ten minutes of sleep.

Workin hard or hardly working?! HYUCKHUECK

Having some pretty rain storms.

My sister hates thrifting but she's actually amazing at it. Look at this mug she found me!

Doing summery things like going to the fair.

And playing with sparklers.

My cat was super cuddly one morning!

I stabbed myself with my pin.

I actually live at Sonic.

If you look closely, you can see my glasses under my sunglasses. #function over fashion

Etsy Update

There are some really cool things available in my shop right now!

(sold)

Seriously, how cool is this dress?

It reminds me of Katie, don't you think?

You can now get hand printed shirts in the shop for $20! I'm taking custom orders for $30 each if you have something special in mind!

And you can now buy all these snazzy brooches. I'm wondering why they all haven't sold out because I'm actually obsessed with them.

And as usual I am open for blog header commissions and portraits! Hit me up guyz!

I also made a facebook page for the blog, hop on over and like it!

Manic Panic's Electric Lava Review

I thought I'd do a little hair dye review for those of you considering dying your hair!

I used Manic Panic's Electric Lava on my hair that was already dyed auburn using some boxed dye I got from Walmart. This was basically my first foray into hair dye, so I'm no expert, but I thought I'd tell you what I did and how it worked for me. Because when I was thinking of doing it, these are the kindof tips I was looking for!

1. Dye your hair with a permanent dye first. Manic Panic didn't show up very well on my un-dyed roots, and the color underneath will start to show through the fade out.
2. Leave your Manic Panic in for a long time. It won't hurt your hair. I kept mine in for like 4-5 hours, in a shower cap.
3. It will stain your scalp. I don't know how to get around this, but it should come off within 1-3 washes.
4. Wash your hair in cool water. I put mine in a shower cap while I soaped up and stuff, so I could still enjoy a warm shower, then washed it in cool water at the end. I also showered about every other day!
5. The dye is going to come out every time you wash. Like, my water was orange for a month. This made me worried, but it didn't seem to fade too badly.
6. Manic Panic's Electric Lava, for me, lasted a long time! It was a lot less vibrant for me towards the end, but it was still definitely there. I kept it two months before I re-did it, since my roots were starting to show.

Here's some photos of the fade-out:
This is what it looked like before I dyed it, with the auburn permanent dye in.

Here it is the day after I dyed it.

Day 9

Day 11

Day 20

Day 41

Most of these photos are in the sunlight, so keep in mind that it wasn't as bright indoors. Overall I was really impressed with this color, and I'm going to buy it again and mix in some Electric Banana for a more orangey red!

Downtown

I went to the park in downtown Greenville with my sister this weekend. It's a really beautiful place, and we brought along my flimsy tripod for a little photoshoot. We totally matched, which was accidental, but I was wearing her skirt and she has about 5 things in this color.

My sister is super beautiful and one of my best friends which is cheesy but whatever. She also has stupidly low self esteem, so feel free to gush about what a babe she is in your comments.

On me: skirt: Target
slip, shoes: thrifted
shirt: Forever 21
brooch: available in my shop

On Emma:
dress: Penny's

Hanging out downtown was super fun! It was a beautiful day, not hot like it's been. Actually this summer has been surprisingly tolerable! We've only had a few days wear it broke 90 so far (knock on wood). I know I was ready to go bare legged a few months ago, but now I am pining for the days of tights. The truth is, I don't like to shave my legs. Not only is it a time suck, I'm just not good at it. I'm clumsy and you're asking me to run a razor along my skin? Sorry society, I'm gonna keep the peach fuzz. Hairy legged sisters, can I hear some noise?!?!

For Father's day we bought my Dad some fancy beers, the revamped version of Age of Empires (he is a super fan) and a new pocket knife! I definitely hope you guys had a good weekend too, and now that we're halfway through the week, I hope you have a good one next weekend! While work has been mostly good, I spend all of yesterday licking envelopes.

Oh and hey, remember to follow me on bloglovin if you're switching.

Space Themed

Woah what's going on did someone turn off the gravity? I SPACE THEMED my outfit today.

Obviously there's the NASA shirt. I also wore my new sparkly dress that looks like stars in the sky, and popped on my newly made moon pin! That's right, these suckers are for sale now, along with a bunch of other cute shapes to adorn your front shirt pockets!

While I was taking these pictures I saw a little green praying mantis crawling along the garage door! I was like "Oh hi cutie, would you like your photo taken?" But it apparently saw my canon lens as a threat because the thing lunged at me! I screamed.

I've almost finished watching Sabrina (season 7 doesn't even have Hilda and Zelda in it, boo!) and I'm well on my way to finishing season 1 of Arrested Development. Late to the party? Fashionably. I also watched Pitch Perfect, or Alternative Girl Teaches White Girls about Rap. No really, I enjoyed it.

DIY Glitter Stars

Hey there! I've got a shiny DIY for you guys today! I'm a big glitter fan, and I'm going to show you how to make your own glitter stars to hang around your room!

Here's the stuff you'll need:

You can do both sides in one sitting! You'll have to come back later and do the corners that you held the star by the first time around.

You could also use fishing line! Or if you don't like the holes, you can hot glue the string to the stars.

I hung mine up around my moon to complete my night sky! I think they'd also be really pretty strung into a garland. If you guys make some, I'd love to see!
