Well, I'm finally home! And while I'm organizing my room and sleeping in til 12:30, I thought I'd show you the final projects from Spring semester!
The following are from my printmaking class, which used traditional block and screenprinting techniques, and my prepress class, which taught us how to prepare things for printing and was entirely digital. I also had a portrait class, but let's be real, I suck at oil painting real hard, so I decided to keep those gems to myself.
Let's start with printmaking!
Look familiar? I made a reduction print using my favorite self-portrait as a model!
These next ones are on ethical fashion. You've already seen this screen-printed tote in outfit photos, and it will be for sale in
the shop soon!
This was a simple block print on recycled fashion. I added the pattern in digitally.
This is another block print on blood diamonds!
Now here's my stuff from prepress. We did so much in this class, so so much.
Our assignment was to make two business cards, one for the teacher's husband (a photographer) and one for ourselves. Mr. Soto chose one of our designs to actually use. Mine got second place! He didn't choose it because it was "too girly" haha. Story of my liiiiife!
This is actually just a cute drawing. We were supposed to get them printed on little keychain tags, but the printer never got back to us! Un. Pro. Fessional.
I may have shown this before, but I'm not sure! It's the pop up card assignment that I ended up giving to Travis for Valentine's Day!
You remember my unicorn shirt, right? We had our designs screenprinted.
We had a packaging design project, and I made a bottle, baggie and box for a fictional bath and body company. That bottle is actually my acne medication that I just stuck a sticker on haha!
This is page 1 of a 8 page self-promotional booklet that we would theoretically send out to companies. Those little cats and pinecones are stickers!
Last but not least, we spent the last month of school doing a campaign rebranding project. My friend
Hannah let me make a huge set of ads, posters, stickers, banners, and packaging based on her (already well designed)
etsy store! I made a 98 on it and an A- in the class.
Thanks for reading, guys!
