Pictures From Lately

My smoothie matched my dress perfectly. So did my underwear, but I didn't photograph them.
This poor bee couldn't fly! Or maybe he didn't want to.
What I have to show from my last shopping trip.
Egg salad is really pretty good.
The fair was in town. I didn't go because it was too blurry.
Baby pinecone.
Some water in a fountain.

Rails

Did I ever tell you people have mistaken these tights for tatoos? True story. Sometimes I think I want a tatoo. And then I remember that I don't like pain.
I've always coveted those jumping pictures (you know the ones) where the jumper just looks like she's floating peacefully. I have yet to master that jump.
I got totally sweaty walking out to these tracks. It wasn't really hot, and it wasn't that far, but I'm not gonna lie.

Pants and Me Complaining About Pants

Howdy!
I noticed I was wearing a lot of dresses lately. So I wore some pants, and promptly remembered why I haven't been wearing pants. Y'see, my thighs are bigger than my waist by a bit, and It's hard to squeeze them into a pair of skinny jeans that fits me everywhere else. So if they fit my thighs, they're too loose on the waist and calves. Wah wah body problems, I know, I'll get over it.
Have you ever heard that we are wired to find symmetrical faces more attractive than asymmetrical ones? Have you ever covered up half your face to see which side is more attractive?
Or am I just weird?
In other news, a little doodle I did and posted on tumblr came across my sister's feed. And she noticed I wasn't the source.
Basically, someone who follows me took my image and posted it themselves instead of reblogging it. They didn't claim it was theirs or anything, but it was pretty annoying that they went out of their way to not give me credit. How did I handle this? Passive aggressive reblog.

Asylum

For one of my "adventures" for that class I have to go on adventures for, Travis and I went to an abandoned insane asylum. Whoa, I bet you didn't see that coming! It was his idea, but the whole time Travis was looking over his shoulder for cops and telling me to hurry up. Haha. Like they'd arrest us for taking pictures of the front of the building. It wasn't very spooky at 2 in the afternoon.
I tried to edit the pictures to make them look a little less happy-go-lucky. I'd hate to be around this place at night.
So, enough of the dark and gloom! I tried making a gif of my dress, but it just ended up making me dizzy.
Whoaaahaaahhhh!
I also tried a milkmaid braid and was really proud with how it came out! My braids always end up looking like an accident, and this one actually looked pretty good!

Another Week

You guys, I wish I were good at photography. I wish I didn't have to work at it, and it would magically come to me.
Anyway, here is a dramatic sunset from this weekend. I saw a dramatic sunrise, too, for about 3 seconds before I fell back asleep! It wasn't the best weekend, but I'm going to forget about it and this week will be great.
Am I right or am I right?

Real Clothes from a Real Store

Time to show off my goodies from romwe! I got this dress and I love it I love it I love it! I feel like a doll or something in it. It was a leeetle too short, so I added a slip (to which I sewed lace) underneath.
If it's possible, I love the tights even more. I know you've seen them around, and well, now you can see them again!
It looks like rococo art or something, right?
My roomate was kind enough to take these pictures of me. I was practically giddy the whole time. I didn't receive a compliment on this dress all day, but did I care? NO. I was just like "That's YOUR loss, world!"

In Which I Ramble

These were taken on a really miserable day. I had bad dreams and it was so windy it cut right through my chunky sweater!
However, I really love this outfit because of the colors! I found the chartreuse sweater on the dollar rack, along with a magenta and lime green XXL sweater with polar bears on it. Don't get me wrong, I fully intended to buy it. But it turned out it wasn't really a dollar, someone just misplaced it, and I'm so spoiled by Goodwill that spending $5 on something feels wrong.
Speaking of spending more than $1 on something, this is my first dress from Modcloth! It was on sale and I had a 20% off code, and I just couldn't help myself. I love the mustard color and how versatile it is. It looks good with everything I tried it on with in the thrift store.
BUT. The hemline was crooked and I had to shorten it like 3 inches to make it even! And that was really upsetting since I bought it from a real store for real money!
Can you guys tell these shoes are cheap? Just curious. Whenever I see wingtips around the blogoverse I think to myself "SHOOT mine look so cheap in comparison" since they are from Kohls and super fake. I was just wondering, can you guys tell? I won't get offended, promise!
I guess this is the first time you'll be seeing my new haircut! It's barely different, but the lady who cut it showed me how to style it nicer, and I like it! She also told me that the sky isn't the limit because there's space after the sky. Haha.
Here's my christmas light spangled room! I hang dresses on my wall because I can't open my closet doors. As you can see, they're sliding full mirrors.

Leaves

Don't you just love the sound of leaves crunching under your feet?
